Office of the Audotor General for Local Government

The Offices of the Auditor General for Local Government were established in all the States of the Federation in the year 1989 in line with the recommendations of 1988 Report of the Dasuki Committee on the reform in the Civil Service.

Staff of the newly established office in the then Kano State were drown from the State Audit Department. When Jigawa State was created in August 1991 indegine of the new State were deployed to the new office at Dutse.

In wothey to mentioned that the office was merged to the Office of the State Auditor General, Jigawa State sometimes in the year 2004 only to be re-established by the Governor Sule Lamindo Administration in year 2007.
