The Directorate of Local Government Audit was re-established by the present Administration 2 years ago. The organization is headed by an Auditor General.
The main vision of the Directorate of local government Audit is to see that rules and regulations especially regarding to finances in the 27 local governments are strictly adhered to. These in a way can sustain transparency and accountability in the financial matters there by enhancing the progress of the local government.
